Tri-Med today announced the opening of its representative office in India.

Pylorium, (a Tri-Med Global company) cut the ribbon on its new office in Chandigarh, providing the base of operations to distribute PYtest to gastroenterologists, general practitioners, hospitals and laboratories throughout the Indian sub-continent and EMEA.

Having received formal approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for PYtest, Pylorium operating in India, adds to the list of over 30 other countries where PYtest is currently being used.

Bhanu Rahoni, Pylorium’s Country Head - India, Southeast Asia & EMEA, said that he had already received considerable interest from medical professionals, keen to use PYtest.

“We recognised a gap in the Indian healthcare landscape regarding the diagnosis of H pylori. Pylorium was established with a clear mission; to provide a quantitative diagnostic solution that prioritises patient comfort without compromising on accuracy.

“Health professionals in India already know that PYtest is the ‘Gold Standard,’ non-invasive diagnostic for determining the presence of a current infection of H pylori. And having successfully completed clinical trials, PYtest is the only clinically validated Urea Breath Test in India,’ Bhanu said.

The opening of the Pylorium office in Chandigarh, means the health sector will be able to use PYtest as part of their existing programs to facilitate the detection and treatment of H pylori, supported by Tri-Med’s renowned system of logistics.

“Tri-Med prides itself on not just the gold standard PYtest, but a gold standard system of supply and distribution.

Since commencing operations in 1996, Tri-Med aims for orders to be shipped ‘same day’ of being received and approved. Pylorium will undertake business operations in the same way,” Mr Rahoni said.
